Things I've built
PAWS
Designed and built a relational database system for Midland Pit Stop's pet adoption management, including the schema for storing pet, adopter, and adoption records. Developed backend features and SQL queries/stored procedures to connect the application logic to the database, improving data entry, retrieval, and record management. Worked within an Agile team—contributing to sprint planning and stand-ups—and co-authored the Software Requirements Specification to translate stakeholder needs into technical requirements.
Not Open Source
Pokemon Black and White Team Builder
Built a responsive web app for building and analyzing Pokémon teams from Pokémon Black and White, pulling real-time data (types, abilities, stats, encounters) from PokeAPI. Used asynchronous JavaScript to manage API calls and app state for a smooth user experience, with interactive HTML/CSS components designed for accessibility and cross-device use. Deployed publicly via GitHub Pages.
Work Experience
Where I've been
Facility & Rental Coordinator
Riverbend Self Storage & U-Haul
Handled daily payments, reservations, and 500+ U-Haul rentals across two facilities, keeping transactions accurate and customer service consistent. Also managed scheduling, resolved rental issues, and kept detailed financial records—all while balancing full-time CS coursework.
Grounds Crew Member
Apple Mountain
Worked as part of a 12-person crew maintaining an 18-hole golf course during peak summer season, from mowing and landscaping to equipment upkeep. Also helped set up and run tournaments with 100+ participants under tight deadlines.
